‘Learning curve must meet no ends’ — this adage fits perfectly on Dashrathraj K Shetty. While the long list of qualifications establish him as an accomplished faculty of Engineering and Management, yet his inclination lies more towards social entrepreneurship (something that does justice to what he is affectionately known as — Raja Shetty). Sri Shetty is an established faculty with one of the leading Universities in the country. What sets him apart is the industrial experience he brings into his work, excerpted out of his earlier stint with one of the country’s leading IT giants.

 

Dr Shetty is also the General Secretary of I-BAT ‘The Think Tank’, a not-for-profit ensemble of researchers and thought leaders in the space of technology management, including strategic affairs. His keen interest in the power of social media and digital content has led him to produce his own interview-based show named ‘Freewheeling Chat’, under the purview of I-BAT.

 

Apart from his command on Computer Science, his in-depth knowledge in the field of Finance and Management has earned him several accolades. He is an AIMA(All India Management Association) Certified Management Trainer. He also holds a Certification of Excellence from the Internationally recognized Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Awards. As a TUV Certified Internal Auditor, he also engages himself in various audit initiatives.

 

Entrepreneurship, Finance, Geopolitics and Management, are few of the fields close to Dr. Shetty. His qualifications include PhD, an MBA (Finance) and an MPhil (Management), over and above his qualifications as MTech (CSE) and BE (CSE).

 

Father of a seven-year-old son, Dr Shetty spends his free time playing around with him. He also takes out time for his early morning badminton sessions to keep himself fit and kicking.​
